Just remember...SEO isn't all set in stone...you can't specifically design a site to only make Google's algorithm happy. Part of their algo is...is the page worth being displayed to an end user...and NO ONE know but them exactly how they calculate and take all of it into consideration. All you can do is test...test...and test some more...in some cases.

The trackback would be like a reciprocal link...
It adds links in...but your giving them back...
So if the blog is worthy of it...which you would have
to visually check...Then it is up to you.
Google actually expects you to have some links back out.
If it is a blog that has a great PR and great traffic...Then
I would normally accept them.
Since they are way below the fold of the page...and down below the post itself where you are pushing a product. They don't get clicked often by end users...but you do bleed PR...so you have to make an assumption by checking the blog out. Because you may have a really good one linking to you with high traffic and PR.

Although some are setup as nofollow on the trackback link...so you need to check that as well.

Hi Guys

I wanted to ask about "trackbacks/pingbacks" etc. I regularly submit various posts to Healthranker and I always get a track/pingback. What am I suppose to do with those ping backs that appear in my WP comments area?

Do I approve them or not?

Also if I approve them, aren't I bleeding PR back to Healthranker etc?

Be good to know, because I have quite a few of them building up and I don't know what to do with them.

And are Pingbacks and Trackbacks the same?

Thanks Jenni

Just so everyone understands...
We don't care if people purchase this or not...it wasn't a ploy to make more money...we make plenty. It has our clickbank affiliate link in it but you don't have to use it if you don't want to. That is up to you.

We put it here because we reviewed the videos and we know Jason does great work. We speak to him almost every Friday...

It is just something that if you have a hard time with websites or wordpress...it can make a HUGE difference in your productivity and money you could save by not paying other people to do simple tasks.

Just wanted to make that clear to everyone so they didn't think it was some marketing strategy we had cooked up. Didn't even realize the 7minute setup was out there until Jason showed us how great it was for beginners.

No video for this site actually...we may do one...

We'll make Jeremy lay in a crib with a bottle and a binky with a little pink outfit on and tell everyone how he can't wait to grow up and be an internet marketer...lol

But in all seriousness...no we haven't made a video for this site yet. The thought had crossed our mind a few times...and maybe we will. If we do we will point it out.

Hi Jeremy or Don,

I just remembered. Earlier on in the course, you did talk about maybe making a video as a marketing strategy to promote your site.

So have you done any video for this site?
If yes, can you show it to us?
Do you think we should have a video for all our sites?
Does it matter that much?

As this would add another to-learn-thing for me, I wanted to get my priorities right that's all.

Please advice
Thanks
Lydia

Goldeneye, normally I would not promote a product that was capturing email addresses unless I sign up for it first and make sure that my aff ID stays embedded even in their emails :)

as far as cloaking goes...I find it a huge waste of time. Especially if you are promoting to a non im niche crowd. I honestly don't see the point.

As far as your last point - YOU ARE DEAD ON RIGHT!!!

1. What is your feeling about promoting a Clickbank product that captures email addresses? When the prospect arrives on the pitch page, they are blatantly or subtlety asked for their email address.

2. What is your feeling about cloaking your affiliate link? Is their a free site where I can have this done?

3. "NOTE TO SELF" Test your Clickbank hoplink and make sure your ID shows up on the Clickbank order page! ...otherwise you will lose the sale!

Yeah, we are recommending this for one reason and one reason only really...

Many people are spending days getting 1 site set up when in reality it can be done in a couple of minutes. This is a great reference to have to be able to look back at whenever you get stuck.
